• As the site owner, you’ll be responsible for the Stripe fees when making payouts to your affiliates
• Your affiliates receive their full commission amounts without Stripe deducting fees directly from them
• When setting up your Stripe Connect account, you’ll need to select the “You handle pricing for your users” option

This is the standard pricing model for platforms using Stripe Connect with Express accounts, offering a cleaner experience for your affiliates while giving you control over your fee structure.

Hey Anna – You can use the Store Credit addon to reward customers with store credit instead of direct payments for referrals.

I think this should be illegal, as it is described. I understand they are providing value in some cases, but they should NOT get the full commission.

As someone running an affiliate program, I can look to see who I am paying, and if I do not recognize them, I guess I can NOT pay them (we generally know all our affiliates and it is not open for anyone to participate). The downside is that I am not reading/paying the right affiliate, and they lose out.

Sigh.

Hey Louis – If an affiliate is set to pending or inactive status, their slot in the matrix will remain occupied, but they will be ignored for commission purposes. To free up that slot, you need to exclude that affiliate. When this happens, the direct sub-affiliate of the deleted affiliate is assigned to the deleted affiliate’s parent, ensuring the integrity of the tree structure is maintained.

Alternatively, if you do not want to delete the affiliate, the admin can manually reassign the direct sub-affiliate to a different parent. This can be done by editing the sub-affiliate’s details and selecting a new parent, which will also preserve the tree structure.
